Pottery project in Dahlia's class

I went in to school to help Dahlia's class make owls out of clay. At first I was worried we didn't have enough parent volunteers but the kids did really great with the project. The biggest issue was making sure the kids didn't press too hard on the clay when making their patterns on the body. We can't wait to see what they will look like after they are dried, glazed, and fired in the kiln.
